We have already begun using the paints for name and letter art projects, helping students strengthen fine motor skills while practicing letter recognition. During center time, students are building simple words, matching letters to sounds, and exploring hands-on literacy activities that make early reading skills exciting and meaningful.\r\n\r\nMy students were thrilled when they first saw the new materials—they couldn't wait to start creating and exploring. Because of your generosity, we are able to extend our literacy lessons into small groups and integrate art into our storytelling activities. These resources are building confidence, creativity, and foundational reading skills every day. At this age, students learn best when they can clearly see, touch, and interact with materials. The document camera allows me to project books, letters, sight words, and student work onto a large screen so every child can see details up close. Whether we are tracking print during shared reading, examining letter formation, or counting objects together, the technology makes learning more visual, interactive, and accessible for all of my young learners.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for my students is seeing their own work displayed on the big screen. When I place a student's drawing, writing attempt, or sorting activity under the camera, the entire class can celebrate their effort. This has built so much confidence—especially for students who are just beginning to recognize letters and sounds. They feel proud and important when their work becomes part of the lesson. The document camera has also made our phonics and vocabulary lessons more engaging because students can clearly see mouth formation, letter shapes, and picture details that might otherwise be missed in a small book.","fullyFundedDate":1766071569127,"projectUrl":"project/see-it-learn-it-love-it-with-a-docume/9826312/","projectTitle":"See It, Learn It, Love It with a Document Camera","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Estrada","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp2253446_orig.jpg?crop=2448,2448,x0,y301&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1711075960755","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/anabel-estrada"},{"teacherId":3089276,"projectId":9632691,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for making Bringing Esperanza Renace to Our Classroom Library a reality. Because of your generosity, my students now have access to a powerful and engaging text that has already made a meaningful impact in our classroom. Esperanza Renace introduces students to important literacy skills such as character development, theme, making text-to-self connections, and understanding historical and cultural context. It has opened the door to rich discussions about resilience, empathy, and perseverance, while also strengthening students' reading comprehension and vocabulary skills.\r\n\r\nReading in our classroom is an active, joyful experience. Students read independently, in small groups, and together as a class, sharing their thoughts, questions, and reflections along the way. Several students who were previously hesitant readers are especially excited about this book—they are eager to turn the pages, participate in discussions, and talk about Esperanza's journey. Seeing students connect emotionally to the story and gain confidence as readers has been incredibly rewarding.\r\n\r\nYour support has not only added a meaningful book to our classroom library, but it has also helped foster a deeper love of reading and learning among my students.
