Your generosity is making a direct and meaningful impact on my students each and every day. Because of you, our classroom is becoming a more structured, engaging, and supportive learning environment where students can thrive both academically and socially. Knowing that others believe in and support their education is incredibly powerful for my third graders.\r\n\r\nThe supplies you helped provide will support learning in so many important ways. Computer mice and math manipulatives allow students to access and understand academic content through hands-on and digital experiences that meet different learning styles. Seat sacks help students stay organized and responsible for their materials, which reduces distractions and lost items during the school day. With these tools in place, students can focus more on learning and less on searching for what they need.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the SEL tools, board games, and small rewards will help build a positive classroom community. Social-emotional learning resources give students healthy strategies for managing emotions and staying focused. Board games strengthen collaboration, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills while encouraging teamwork. Small rewards reinforce positive behavior and effort, motivating students to stay engaged and take pride in their work. Our students and even fellow staff members were so excited when they came in and saw the new additions. We used the stickers from our order for a passport activity during Nevada Reading Week(NYRA). Kids would receive a different sticker from specials or from our author assembly. Our kids enjoyed this activity and got them involved in different NYRA activities. \r\nOur new book character stuffed animals attracted lots of attention and love and we saw an increase in check outs from the corresponding author or book series. Our lights create a welcoming and warm ambiance for our library that helps kids relax and calm down, as opposed to the harsh fluorescent lights. \r\nOur students favorite items, by far, were our flexible seating. During free time most kids would choose to color or talk instead of read. We hoped that by introducing fun seating, which were specifically for kids who wanted to read, we would encourage kids to read instead of the more common talking or coloring. Now we constantly have kids reading in the book nook, or on the rainbow seating cushions, which the kids have named the \"Silent Reading Circles.\" \r\nLibrary has become a much quieter place, with kids picking up books and reading. As it should be. Thank you again for supporting our little library at Marc Kahre ES.","fullyFundedDate":1768702830571,"projectUrl":"project/revive-our-library/10027806/","projectTitle":"Revive Our Library!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Mia","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-10_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10405979"},{"teacherId":6616310,"projectId":9325786,"letterContent":"We have set up our science hydroponics kits and are tracking how roots expand in proportion to the plant's height. The headphone set has been a game-changer for focused learning—students can now use reading, math, and research programs without being distracted by surrounding noise. This allows them to work at their own pace, get immediate feedback from the programs, and feel confident in their progress. The privacy folders have helped students concentrate during independent work and testing, giving them a sense of ownership over their learning space. The science sensory tubes have become a calming tool for students who need a quick break to reset emotionally—these small moments of regulation are allowing them to return to learning ready to focus and participate. Even something as simple as our electric pencil sharpener has been a big win—it keeps supplies ready quickly, so students spend more time learning and less time waiting.\r\n\r\nWhat excites students most is having their own set of headphones—something many have never experienced before in school—which makes them feel special and supported. One student who struggles with attention and noise sensitivity now uses the headphones and sensory tubes daily; he's more engaged in lessons, completes more work independently, and has a huge smile when he's learning. These tools have made our classroom calmer, more organized, and more focused, and I am so grateful to our donors for making this possible.","fullyFundedDate":1746836798196,"projectUrl":"project/3rd-grade-supplies/9330132/","projectTitle":"3rd Grade Supplies","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Larsen","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/8107523"},{"teacherId":3250773,"projectId":9136481,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your incredible generosity. I've been teaching for almost 11 years, and many of my classroom resources were outdated, worn out, or in need of constant repair. Because of your support, my students now have access to materials that help them stay organized, keep their space clean, and excel in core subjects.\r\n\r\nWhen I showed my new students the brand-new whiteboards and privacy folders, they were beyond thrilled! The ones we had before had certainly seen better days. As the boxes arrived at school, my students couldn't believe their eyes. They were so excited to help open each one and discover what was inside. They especially loved our new treasure chest and couldn't wait to find out what surprises it would hold.\r\n\r\nI plan to use these items daily to create a more welcoming, safe, and productive learning environment.
