Portable room air purifiers will supplement the current health protections for students attending in-person learning. With these in place, absences due to illness may be reduced. Purified air will hopefully turn out to be a factor for this goal. The request for a color printer will aid in encouraging and motivating students to enhance their abilities to tell their stories creatively. I believe every student has a story to tell, and I intend to help them learn to tell his and her unique story in the most creative way possible. Using the Step Up to Writing Method, my primary grade special education students need extra accommodations and supplements to give them the confidence and ability needed to develop that creativity. A color printer will allow the students to produce a printed picture by inserting google images, create shapes and colors, or download pictures taken on their iPads to create their own google slides as pages in a book. I am excited to see the stories these children have deep inside them, as they share their thoughts and feelings through printed words and pictures while becoming familiar with the technology of their future.
