These books all focus on emotions and feelings. They are engaging stories that help students relate to themselves and others and how they are feeling. I have lesson plans that go along with each book that are aligned with common core state standards. There are also conversation starters about social and emotional learning as well as building a diverse and inclusive classrooms that are perfect for helping kids have important and meaningful conversations. There are growth mindset daily journals for students to work in each day and have a book of their own to help them learn how to write about how they feel. The Scholastic News magazines have a focus on social studies and other interesting topics. Students will have one to take home every week with activities to go along with them.
