Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase high-quality chess boards and pieces to launch a schoolwide movement focused on problem-solving, purpose, and academic growth.\r\n\r\nWhen our students first saw the new materials, their eyes lit up with excitement. Many immediately began setting up games—some learning the rules for the first time, others jumping into strategy discussions. The energy in the room was electric. One especially memorable moment happened during a lunchtime chess event where students from all grade levels came together to compete, collaborate, and cheer each other on.\r\n\r\nWe're now preparing to start a campus-wide chess ladder and are planning our first inter-school chess meet. Chess is also being integrated into our STEM classrooms as a tool for developing critical thinking, focus, and resilience.
