For children who are still developing communication skills, these joyful moments of engagement are truly powerful.\r\nWe have been using the puzzles and sorting activities daily to build important cognitive and fine motor skills. Students are practicing identifying letters, numbers, and colors while strengthening their hand-eye coordination and problem-solving abilities. One especially exciting moment occurred during the animal sorting activities. Students worked together to sort animals by size, and it was wonderful to see them concentrating, pointing, and using their PECS cards to communicate their choices.
