Many of the students that will enter my classroom live in one of the toughest neighborhoods in Washington, DC. They attend a school that stretches meager resources to meet the needs of the students that attend, because many of their families just don't have the funds to purchase the supplies themselves. But despite this, students arrive eager to explore their classroom! They start out timid, but quickly make friends and adapt to their classmates and teachers. Learning starts from the moment they enter, and then soars from there!

About my class
