They immediately wanted to explore and start creating with them! There were so many smiles, and students were excited and ready to use the supplies right away. The watercolor paints, in particular, have been a huge favorite in my class. Students love using them, and they've truly brightened up our classroom with so much color and creativity. Our walls are covered in all of their work and art!\r\n\r\nWe've been using these resources during our science unit on ecosystems and food webs in my ELD class. Students are creating their own ecosystem posters, carefully drawing plants, animals, and habitats. They are also building food webs by connecting organisms and showing how energy flows through an ecosystem. One of my favorite moments was watching a student proudly explain their food web, using arrows and labels to show how each living thing depends on another. The hands on materials and colors really helped bring these concepts to life. They were so proud of themselves! These materials have made a big difference in student engagement. Students are more focused, creative, and excited to show their understanding. They take pride in their work and love adding colorful details to make their projects stand out.\r\n\r\nNext, students will begin a passion project, where they will research a topic of their choice and create another poster to present their learning. They will again use these materials to organize their ideas, include pictures, and share information clearly. This will give them another opportunity to build confidence in both their research and presentation skills.\r\n\r\nThank you for providing materials that make learning hands on, engaging, and full of color. It seems like small things, but these small things make a big impact. My students loved our new stories. They especially liked the story about the watermelon who was not round and yet found a way to embrace that he was different. They thought it was hilarious to hear that there are in fact square watermelons in Japan. This is what makes literature come alive. I can't wait to read the other stories.\r\n\r\nOur vacuum has been essential. Even though the night janitor vacuums our room every other night, it still gets messy. The kids beg to be the one who gets to use the vacuum each day because we spend a few minutes before we go home tidying up our classroom to make it a welcoming space the next day. \r\n\r\nThe microwave saved me so much time yesterday as I usually have to give up my lunch time to pop the popcorn for any celebrations. This time I could pop a bag in as the students finished their work. We were able to enjoy our popcorn party, and I was able to enjoy my lunch! \r\n\r\nLastly, the snacks have been a big hit! I think the fruit chews and the goldfish have been the favorites.
