At this current moment our classroom does not have adequate shelving to store our books. Books are stacked on the floor due to lack of shelving. As a first year teacher, I have been scouring the internet and neighborhood looking for storage solutions that will allow me to create a functioning classroom library. Unfortunately due to the high cost, this has been an unattainable goal. My students get extremely excited about selecting their own books; these shelves will allow me organize books based on students interests as well as independent reading level. This will not only give students a sense of autonomy, but will allow them to choose books that they are interested in. These shelves will enhance our classroom environment and allow me to create a safe and accessible classroom!
