Students practice identifying character traits, making predictions, retelling key events, and using details from the text to explain their thinking. Through our Charlotte's Web book study, students explore big ideas such as friendship, loyalty, and empathy. Studying a shared chapter book helps students learn how to track character growth over time and discuss themes together, building both comprehension and confidence.\r\nReading time is engaging, thoughtful, and full of excitement. Students enjoy independent reading with books they choose, partner discussions, and whole-class conversations during our Charlotte's Web study. During read-alouds, students listen closely, ask questions, and eagerly share their thoughts and predictions. The classroom is filled with meaningful conversations, smiles, and moments when students can't wait to find out what happens next.\r\nMany students who are still developing confidence as readers feel successful participating in the Charlotte's Web book study because everyone experiences the story together. Students who already love reading enjoy making deeper connections and sharing insights with classmates.
