The games are especially popular—students ask for them daily and are eager to dive in as soon as independent work begins. One memorable moment was watching students collaborate naturally, explaining rules to one another and practicing skills without prompting. The resources have helped turn independent practice into an engaging, student-driven experience.\r\n\r\nWhen students were first introduced to the materials, their excitement was immediate. They were curious, hands-on, and couldn't wait to explore how everything worked. The tactile nature of the activities really stood out to them, and it was clear that learning felt more like play. This hands-on approach has helped students stay focused longer and engage with reading skills in new and fun ways.\r\n\r\nThanks to our donors, these resources are now an ongoing part of our classroom routine. Our next steps include continuing to use the materials to strengthen reading skills during independent and small-group work, while gradually increasing the level of challenge. Students will apply what they've practiced through games to more complex reading tasks, helping build confidence, independence, and a love of learning that will carry into future lessons.","fullyFundedDate":1760885580523,"projectUrl":"project/literacy-centers/9841518/","projectTitle":"Literacy Centers","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Nesbitt","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-1_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/2825460"},{"teacherId":2563013,"projectId":9817668,"letterContent":"I want to extend my deepest gratitude for your support! This inspired other students in the class to make their own books with their own spin on what they'd read. \r\n When we first received the box of materials, the kids were over the moon excited to see all the kits. It was like Christmas came early to our classroom! The flannel board materials and storytelling kits were organized into an individual library of boxes that the students can choose. As we read new literature, another storytelling kit gets added to the library. The students have learned to organize, store and choose from a variety of kits. They spend time daily being able to choose from the kits in the library center and it is a wildly popular area of the classroom.\r\n Now that my students have started to learn to write independently, we will be using the kits to expand our writing and to foster creativity and choice at our classroom writing center.
