This goes for their families too. The snacks have helped these students whose parents are really struggling with the loss of a spouse. I have one student who lost his stepdad, who he was really close with, that I was able to provide some snacks to so his mom wouldn't have to worry about that added expense. \r\n\r\nStudents at our school are also selected and celebrated for their behavior. These students also shared in the snack choices and we were able to celebrate them in a meaningful and healthy way. Each student made sure to thank me (and by extension you) for being able to provide these rewards. \r\n\r\nStudents that come to me are often struggling with big emotions or need additional assistance with their anxiety/behaviors. The books you provided have helped reduce some of that anxiety in these kids.
