These materials will most definitely be used for showing student growth and their ability to communicate what they have learned in different ways. To keep students engaged, we cannot always push them too hard or they may give up. It is good to remind students that reading and writing are crucial for their learning, but there can be ways to give them "brain breaks" where they are still engaging with material, but they can show you what they have learned through physically building something. Legos can be used for all subjects and teachers can put in just a day a week or more to produce something using the Legos (and of course teaching expectations of how to use them before).
