We have a small supply of used uniforms that we can loan to students to use for the rest of the day, but the underwear and socks are something we can \"loan\" out, due to the nature of the items. Students can go home at the end of the day feeling dry and secure.\r\n The snack supply just replenished our depleted store from last year, and we now have healthy snacks to offer hungry and \"hangry\" students when they need some simple nourishment to make it through the day.\r\n Your generous contributions to this project are gratefully accepted.","fullyFundedDate":1760882098449,"projectUrl":"project/well-take-care-of-you/9552682/","projectTitle":"We'll Take Care of You","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Ledford","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3817360_orig.jpg?crop=2740,2740,x0,y73&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1746649287321","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/pattiledford"},{"teacherId":2218553,"projectId":9270703,"letterContent":"Thank you for your generosity in sponsoring our class! This generous gift of four Snap Circuit STEM kits is having a significant and immediate positive impact on hands-on learning and the students' understanding of basic electronics and engineering principles. These kits transform abstract scientific concepts into tangible, exciting activities, allowing students to build working circuits by snapping components onto a plastic board. This practical engagement is crucial at this age, fostering curiosity, problem-solving skills, and critical thinking in an enjoyable, collaborative environment.\r\n\r\nAs we worked with these kits over the past few days, my students became very excited as they made connections that complete circuits and made items light up and fly. The first day was a little rambunctious as the students took advantage of the \"wobble factor\". As days have passed, the stools have become a welcome and useful addition to our little room.\r\n One of the biggest benefits is what the change has done for me! In the past I would have to interrupt lessons several times to ask the students to \"put 4 on the floor\", meaning all four legs of the stool should be planted on the floor. It was a significant distraction. AND, I would have to tighten screws on a weekly basis. Now, I am training myself to take to the wobbling in stride, knowing no damage is being done and the student is still focused. It is such a huge relief!\r\n The wobble stools have changed the atmosphere into a more relaxed and focused environment.
