All children start their school careers with sparkling imaginations, fertile minds, and a willingness to take risks with what they think. Let's give these students a program that allows them to think outside of the tradition classroom. My second grade students are ages 8-10 years old and like most kids, they love learning through doing. We are a Charter School in the heart of El Cajon California and the need for more STEAM teaching materials for our students to learn how to critically think and solve problems is a big part of what we are trying to develop for our students. My school is a charter school who serves many students who do not have the vast opportunities as some affluent districts do. This project will afford my students new opportunities to learn, play, develop Grit, and experiment at the same time.
