Because of your kindness, my students now have access to phonics tiles that are already making a powerful difference for my non-readers and lower-level readers.\r\n\r\nWe use these phonics tiles daily during small group instruction to build foundational reading skills such as letter recognition, sound blending, word building, and decoding. One special moment happened when a student who often struggles with reading successfully used the tiles to sound out and build a word independently for the first time. The smile on their face and the pride they felt was unforgettable.\r\n\r\nWhen the students first saw the phonics tiles, they were excited and eager to use them right away. They loved being able to touch, move, and manipulate the letters to make words. The hands-on learning made reading feel fun and less intimidating, which helped build their confidence from the start.\r\n\r\nOur next steps are to continue using the tiles in small groups to strengthen phonics skills, improve fluency, and increase reading confidence. Students will be working on blending more complex sounds, reading short passages, and applying these skills during independent reading time.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is helping students develop the skills they need to become successful readers. Thank you for investing in my students and giving them tools that truly support their growth.","fullyFundedDate":1769192052422,"projectUrl":"project/reading-is-for-everyone/9971466/","projectTitle":"Reading is for Everyone!","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. Tucker","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9374841_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1700521015140","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9374841"},{"teacherId":4286626,"projectId":9391917,"letterContent":"Thanks to your generosity, our classroom has been transformed! Students rotate through the space each day, and many have told me that it helps them concentrate, calm down, and actually look forward to reading. One student said, \"I feel like I can read for hours here.\"\r\n\r\nThe couch will be our hub for small-group discussions, partner reading conferences, and student-led \"book talks.\" I can already tell that this cozy space will continue to inspire better conversations, better focus, and a stronger love of reading.\r\n\r\nThank you for giving my students a place that feels special, inviting, and truly theirs.
