The gift of these books will allow them to have options in the books they read or have read to them.\r\n\r\nI love that my students love stories read to them and their pride they feel when they are able to read the stories themselves. The Play-Doh has been especially helpful for our past unit, as my students have been using it to model how the Earth orbits the sun and causes the different seasons. Some students also use the Play-Doh to practice and visually represent their science vocabulary words. My students are also very grateful for the deodorant, and after the first snow storm, they truly appreciated having the socks for when some children's feet got soaked.\r\nThe students were thrilled when they saw the items come into class, they were especially excited for the new markers for their projects and they can't wait to use the atoms set for when we learn about chemistry in the upcoming months. Thank you for your donation to help organize our classroom, provide CVC blocks for learning and a book about emotions. A special shout out to The Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation who doubled your donations. When the project was fulfilled, the shelves I chose were no longer available so I had to choose different items other than what was planned. The storage shelves I did receive allowed me to store my teaching supplies away from the students and allow the sturdy, safe shelves I was using for my teaching supplies to be used for our classroom library. The students have been enjoying making their CVC words with the interactive blocks. They said they had so much more fun learning to read and spell the words using the blocks before writing them. The book about emotions have helped my students understand what it means to feel angry and how to move away from that feeling in a safe, productive way.\r\nThank you again for your donation to my classroom.
