These tools give students an appropriate way to manage extra energy while staying engaged in classroom and counseling activities.\r\n\r\nThe positive affirmation coloring materials have created natural opportunities to talk about confidence, self-worth, emotions, and positive thinking. Students can color while reflecting on encouraging messages such as \"I am capable,\" \"I am strong,\" and \"I believe in myself.\" These activities support both creativity and social-emotional learning.\r\n\r\nThe Tic Tac Toe game is another simple but useful tool during individual and small-group sessions. Games encourage communication, turn-taking, patience, problem-solving, and good sportsmanship. They also help students relax, which can make it easier for them to talk openly about friendships, emotions, choices, and challenges. We have fun with them, especially at lunch. lol\r\n\r\nTogether, these resources support the whole child. We were doing three different STEM challenges where students had to collaborate to build the tallest tower using mini cups. The goal for the students was to learn how to work together and have a growth mindset. For the third cup tower challenge each student had to use two wooden craft sticks to move the cups instead of using their hands. I wanted the students to understand that even when they face challenges or obstacles in school or in life, they can succeed if they perservere. The students loved this challenge and it was wonderful watching them problem solve and talk to their peers.\r\n\r\nThis wouldn't have been possible without you.
