My students need the opportunity to learn more about the world they live in. A large population of my students is limited in their exposure to current events outside of the local environment. They are in need of resources, such as TIME For Kids that will help them expand their knowledge and have a chance to build upon their prior knowledge when they engage in various texts. My students depend on school to teach them and virtually take them outside their current environment in order to create a stronger knowledge background. The Chromebooks will allow my students to complete research projects using TIME For Kid online resources and read online books to help them improve their reading and knowledge.
