Having their own set of multiplication flash cards has made a huge difference in my students' confidence and fluency with math facts. Each student can now practice independently, in small groups, or at home with their families. This daily, hands-on practice has helped students strengthen their recall of basic facts, which is building a stronger foundation for more complex math skills. Many students who previously struggled with multiplication are now more engaged and excited about learning math because they can see their progress!\r\nBecause every student received their own set of cards, I was able to incorporate more interactive and differentiated math activities into our lessons. We've been able to do timed challenges, partner games, and small-group rotations without worrying about sharing materials or waiting turns. This has made our math time more efficient, fun, and effective. While the advancements in technology have been great learning tools for elementary students research has found that fine motor skills are becoming weaker. Using these tools in the classroom allows students to strengthen their fine motor muscles. They have loved practicing snapping, buckling, tying, lacing, zipping, buttoning, and snapping! By practicing these skills my students are able to become more independent tying shoes, zipping their own coats, and buttoning their clothes. \r\n\r\nHighlighters are such a great tool in my class! We use them to highlight words in word searches and to highlight spelling patterns in words. These lessons are very engaging and the students are making progress in all areas.\r\n\r\nThe students are able to tune out what is going on within the rest of the room and can now focus on their individual activities. They are getting the instruction delivered right into their ears without their classmates hearing what is being assigned to them. This is great because no one knows what level others are working on.
