Many of the resources are helping us stay organized such as the labels to print their information for all the folders, binders, and book containers which is a huge help with the pace of our lessons/experiences. Having markers and art supplies let us dive into many learning activities and small group instruction experiences. We have the books now sorted according to the levels and interests so it is easy for the students to quickly get them. Having board games and art items available for rainy day indoor recess allows opportunities for us to work on taking turns and appropriate social skills. For many of my students, especially those with SEL goals, this explicit instruction is essential in helping them build self-awareness and self-regulation skills.\r\n\r\nSeveral of my students who have specific SEL goals have especially benefited from these books. Their eyes lit up as they saw all the different choices, and they immediately began asking how they could earn them. It created a renewed sense of enthusiasm and motivation in the classroom.
