When the students walked in and saw the bright rug paired with the beanbags and floor table, they immediately rushed over to sit and try it out. It has created such a cheerful, comfortable area for reading, partner activities, and small-group work. One of my students who usually has a hard time settling in grabbed a beanbag, sat on the rug, and stayed focused through an entire reading passage—that alone made the project worth it.\r\n\r\nAs we move through our reading and math lessons this year, this cozy area will be used daily for fluency practice, math games, and writing activities. It has truly changed the atmosphere of our room and given my students a place where they feel calm, confident, and excited to learn.
