Socio-emotional development is crucially important for children in their primary levels of learning. My students will be returning to school in one week to begin our hybrid learning phase, after 6 months of not engaging with and seeing their peers in a school setting. I will be having six students in my class at a time, and I wish to safely provide the best feeling of normalcy and provide an environment that nurtures community and togetherness in a challenging time. The classroom carpet will help me to provide a comfortable place that promotes socialization, community, and collaboration through my Interactive Read Alouds, delivery of group instruction, Morning Meetings, and much more.
