Since the supplies were delivered, I have been able to provide healthier snacks, fidgets, and activities to engage students. This funding has helped make my space a safe, meaningful, and interactive place of growth and identity seeking. \r\n\r\nAfter school are some of my favorite moments, where outside of sessions, students can come in and hang out to shoot hoops, eats snacks, and get to know their peers that they normally don't interact with. It is one of the sweetest parts of my day to supervise the space, but let the kids interact with each other in appropriate and kind ways. \r\n\r\nActually, when the mini-basketball hoop came in, one student in particular was eager to help me assemble the pieces and blow up the basket balls. Since we installed it, it is rare that the hoop does NOT get used during a session. Every student LOVES it!
