My students have little access to computers. I have 2 desktop computers in my classroom that we share among 25 students. It is frustrating for us all. If we had 5 iPads, we could make table groups of 5 students to share an iPad and use our iPad to discover art and culture around the world! This would make learning fun and allow students to work together and share in their exploration and learning. These iPads would bring great inspiration to our artwork and deeper our understanding of works of art in other cultures. We could also learn to draw using an iPad by watching tutorials and live workshops. The iPad would allow us to group ourselves according to how quickly or slowly we learn rather than all being forced to go at the same pace. Having five iPads, we would have 5 different paces to choose from!
