The four sanitation stations have been strategically placed around the room, making health and safety a seamless part of our transitions rather than a distraction. However, the true \"wow\" factor came from the five-foot metal storage unit. My students' eyes widened when they saw it; to them, it signaled that our classroom materials are valuable and worth protecting. Having a dedicated, secure space for our supplies has reduced clutter and allowed the students to focus more on their creative work and less on the mess.\r\n\r\nThe new office chair has also been a game-changer for our 1-on-1 feedback sessions. During a recent writing workshop, I was able to sit comfortably at eye-level with my students, providing a much more supportive and focused environment for our conferences. The students noticed the change immediately, with one student joking that I finally had a \"throne\" to match my hard work. Beyond the humor, they truly appreciate that the classroom feels more like a professional lab or office, which has noticeably boosted their engagement and pride in their workspace.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, our next big step is a collaborative research project where students will be responsible for checking out and returning specialized equipment from our new locking cabinet. This will help them develop essential organizational and accountability skills.
