Students are eager to explore, build, and learn through hands-on activities that make science and problem-solving both fun and engaging. The \"Science of Cooking: Ice Cream\" kit is especially exciting, as it combines learning with a real-world (and delicious!) experience.\r\n\r\nThe math activity book is another wonderful addition, offering creative ways for students to strengthen their skills while staying engaged. The Wacky Tracks and building materials have also been a big hit, giving students opportunities to collaborate, think creatively, and work together to design and build.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the snack donations are greatly appreciated and help support our students throughout the day.\r\n\r\nYour generosity is making a meaningful impact by providing enriching, hands-on learning experiences and opportunities for social interaction and teamwork. The new colored pencils are also greatly appreciated, as our previous supplies had been worn down from frequent use.\r\n\r\nThe social skills kit has been a valuable addition as well. Students have the opportunity to explore the activities independently and at their own pace, and many choose to engage with them regularly. These experiences allow us to reinforce and connect important social skills throughout the week in meaningful ways.\r\n\r\nIn addition, the new leisure activities, including magnet blocks and puzzles, have been a wonderful way for students to collaborate in small groups. They are building creativity and teamwork as they construct structures together and work toward the shared goal of completing puzzles. These moments provide natural opportunities to practice and strengthen their social skills.\r\n\r\nThank you again for your generosity and for supporting our students' growth and learning.","fullyFundedDate":1769177444392,"projectUrl":"project/mid-school-year-refresh-and-restock/9994362/","projectTitle":"Mid School Year Refresh and Restock","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Dessy","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3662236_orig.jpg?crop=467,467,x342,y45&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1706216598275","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3662236"},{"teacherId":3017506,"projectId":10104128,"letterContent":"This project has had a meaningful impact on how students learn, organize information, and share their thinking in our social studies classroom. The addition of structured book bins has transformed how students access reading materials. Instead of books being difficult to locate or overlooked, students can now independently browse by topic, unit, or interest area. This has increased student choice and engagement, and we have already seen more students voluntarily selecting texts and staying engaged in sustained reading. At the same time, the improved organization helps create a calmer, more purposeful classroom environment where literacy is visibly valued.\r\n\r\nThe Apple TV technology has been especially exciting for students because it allows them to share their work instantly and confidently with the class. Students can wirelessly present research projects, analyze primary and secondary sources, and showcase multimedia presentations without the stress of complicated setup or technical barriers. This has significantly increased participation and willingness to present, as students feel more in control of their work and more prepared to speak in front of their peers. The immediacy of the technology makes learning feel more dynamic and interactive, turning presentations into shared learning experiences rather than isolated assignments.\r\n\r\nWe have also noticed that students who are typically more reserved have especially benefited from this new system. Some who were previously hesitant to present are now more willing to share because the process feels smoother and less intimidating. In particular, students who are strong in digital creation but less confident in speaking have found a bridge between their skills and their voice. This has helped build confidence, strengthen communication skills, and create a more inclusive classroom where more students feel capable of contributing meaningfully.","fullyFundedDate":1771450267861,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-readers-and-student-voices/10104128/","projectTitle":"Empowering Readers and Student Voices","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Hong","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp3017506_orig.png?crop=386,386,x104,y0&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1630104810723","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/3017506"},{"teacherId":7353569,"projectId":10111877,"letterContent":"This was the perfect project to create belonging for our year-long classes that had nearly half new students join our classes at the beginning of January. We needed a project that promoted collaboration and pride. Students were introduced to each other, made their own designs, practiced tape art elements and then through discussion, negotiated how to literally combine their ideas! Students became very creative during this process! For instance, two students combined their snail and basketball player drawings to become a snail playing basketball! It is terrific!\r\n\r\nAlthough students are still in the process of crafting their final tape art pieces, they have yet to create a title and present their new art piece. \r\n\r\nThe next steps are to complete the nonfiction text we are reading about flamingos. As an extension of learning, students will research their favorite animal. With the information, they will craft some way to present it to the class. Afterward, we will categorize the animals by habitat. Then students will also have the opportunity to use tape art to show their animals in the same habitat. Again, building friendships while using the many supplies provided by your funding.","fullyFundedDate":1771788895414,"projectUrl":"project/hungry-for-summer/10111877/","projectTitle":"Hungry for Summer!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. G","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7353569_orig.jpg?width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1595625779974","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7353569"},{"teacherId":8975060,"projectId":10105256,"letterContent":"THANK YOU SO MUCH for choosing my project to be the recipient of your kindness and generosity. My students are thrilled to use the iPad to access our curriculum. While many people use iPads for entertainment, in our room, they have become essential creative workstations. Currently, Google Docs and Google Slides are the favorites. My students use Docs daily for their essay writing; having tools like spell check and word count right at their fingertips builds their confidence as writers. They are especially excited by Google Slides, which allows them to show their mastery of a subject through visuals and design when a traditional essay isn't the best fit.\r\n\r\nI've noticed this technology has been a game-changer for my reluctant writers. Students who used to struggle with a blank paper are now \"warming up\" to writing because the iPad makes it easy to organize their thoughts and edit on the fly. It has truly leveled the playing field for them. The Apple Pencil is also well perceived by one of my students who is extremely artistic and creative. The iPad and Apple Pencil combination allows him to draw sketches using the app Sketchbook. This student is truly enjoying the Apple Pencil since all of the art work he has done in the past have been on a computer using a mouse. The use of the iPad and Apple Pencil has become one of the things he looks forward to in class.","fullyFundedDate":1771783254390,"projectUrl":"project/technology-assistance-for-diverse-learne/10111322/","projectTitle":"Technology Assistance For Diverse Learners","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Tsang","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-5_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10438988"},{"teacherId":10299092,"projectId":9787931,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generosity!
