My students have loved having the opportunity to have the option to go to an area in my room where they can just take a mental break and still be creative. Being able to use the drawing pads to help with class projects or to just be creative has been beneficial to them. Having the different gel pens and markers have allowed students to just take a break for a few mins when they have needed it and help them to be more focused afterwards.\r\nThe most used item has been the beads. Students have made car leis, bag leis and have just been creative. Being able to have the opportunity to put table legs on a table that they get to make has helped my students put more effort into their work and have more pride in their final product. Table legs may not seem like much to some, but when you are able to put a complete project together, it makes all the difference to students who aren't able to have these opportunities. \r\nBeing able to have different mica powder colors to choose from, being able to access them in an organized manner makes the student feel important and helps give them confidence. They were so excited and eager to start eating! I had to start rationing to make sure all the items would last and not be all gone in a Week! They couldn't believe that we had food and snacks in our room. Because of this, many of the students were more awake and present in class. They also seemed more focused.
