These materials will help bring our students back to campus which is the ideal way to deliver instruction. We believe that students need the structure and support that can only be provided through in-person learning. These scanners will also help build and support our infrastructure for contact tracing to keep our students safe. In addition to the existing safety guidelines such as temperature checking, social distancing, and requiring masks, we would also like to use ID scanners to identify clusters of students in various spaces throughout our campus. These procedures have already been put into place for the students and staff that are on campus and we would like to ensure that we can provide these same safety guidelines for all of our students.
