They never would have come without your support. My classroom library is looking much fuller now with about 80 new books added! 📚My students are now able to grab a book quickly and easily from my classroom library and begin reading! When one of my students, I'll call him Abdi, saw the books, he grabbed one and looked at me, saying, \"For us?\" It was a joy to say, \"YES! They just came for us to read!\" He took one right away and started reading. Later, I asked him what he thought of the book. He responded that it was good and he liked it because it was easy to read. That was the whole point!\r\n\r\nStudents start the day with independent reading time every day, no exceptions. It is so important that they can just grab a book right away and begin reading. Research shows that classroom libraries of at least 50 books have a positive impact on students' willingness and ability to read independently. The books are here, sorted by genre and level, and in student hands.
