The supplies you provided—markers, a large whiteboard, candy incentives, and bright cardstock—are already making a big difference in our daily learning environment.\r\n\r\nThe new whiteboard and colorful markers allow me to present lessons more clearly and visually, helping students follow along and stay engaged. The bright cardstock is perfect for creating anchor charts, vocabulary cards, and interactive activities that bring our 7th grade English Language Arts standards to life. Even something as simple as colorful materials makes our classroom feel more welcoming and organized, which helps students focus.\r\n\r\nThe candy rewards have been a fun and effective way to motivate students to participate, share their ideas, and challenge themselves academically. It's amazing how candy can encourage even my shyest learners to join discussions! Jolly ranchers and mixed berry skittles are the most popular treats in my room. :)\r\n\r\nYour support has transformed our classroom into a more vibrant place to get together and learn, laugh and read.","fullyFundedDate":1756055703525,"projectUrl":"project/look-who-is-participating/9557336/","projectTitle":"Look Who Is Participating!","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Loper","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9998166_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1744397040711","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9998166"},{"teacherId":9998166,"projectId":9254223,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation of Ghost by Jason Reynolds for our 7th grade classroom library. My students are already so excited to dive into this novel, and I know it will become a favorite.\r\n\r\nThis book aligns beautifully with our 7th grade English Language Arts standards, particularly in reading literature (RL.7.1–7.6) where students analyze characters, themes, and central ideas, as well as writing standards (W.7.1–7.9) that ask them to make text-based connections and support their thinking with evidence. Ghost tackles themes of perseverance, friendship, belonging, and resilience, all of which resonate deeply with middle schoolers. The main character's struggles with controlling his behavior and finding a positive path forward mirror challenges that many of my students face. Seeing themselves reflected in Ghost's journey gives them a chance to talk about identity, choices, and growth in ways that are both authentic and empowering.\r\n\r\nYour generosity has provided my students with more than just a novel—they now have access to a story that validates their experiences, sparks critical thinking, and builds a stronger classroom community.
