Your generosity is giving our fourth-grade students an exciting way to turn their ideas into real objects while strengthening creativity, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.\r\n\r\nStudents are excited to see their digital Tinkercad designs become physical creations they can hold, test, and improve. In science, they will design and print windmill blades, then test how changes in size, shape, and angle affect movement and efficiency. This makes renewable energy and the engineering design process feel real and meaningful.\r\n\r\nIn social studies, students created custom game pieces for our Westward Expansion board game, such as wagons, supplies, settlers, and landmarks. Designing these objects helps students connect historical learning with purposeful design.\r\n\r\nSeveral students who are quieter during traditional lessons have particularly warmed to this technology. They are eager to experiment with shapes, solve design challenges, and proudly share their models with classmates. The 3D printer gives them another way to communicate their understanding and see that revisions are an important part of learning.\r\n\r\nThank you for providing a tool that helps our students imagine, design, test, and create.
