An effective classroom allows students to maximize their learning opportunities. Students in my room are losing valuable time because I don't have headphones to go with my iPads or Chromebooks. My classroom is a shared space where English Learners work beside students who are learning to read and others work to improve their math skills. It is not uncommon to have 20 students simultaneously working with up to 4 adults. The noise level can be quiet high. When my students use their iPads and Chromebooks the distraction it creates resonates throughout the learning space.
