My students no longer had to listen to me spell it out or ask their peers how to write a word. I could display a worksheet, picture or my computer screen with ease, helping with the flow of my lessons in my classroom. This made it much easier to deliver information quickly to my students.\r\n The most exciting part is how engaged my students remain during their lessons. The students have such a better time engaging when their information is on the board in the front of the room. The students are also able to share their own work under the digital camera. They enjoy being able to project their hard work and explain by using the board.","fullyFundedDate":1712858569091,"projectUrl":"project/project-projector/8246266/","projectTitle":"Project Projector","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Hendrix","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-2_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9481162"},{"teacherId":7740198,"projectId":8962746,"letterContent":"I want to send a heartfelt thank you to you for your kind donation to our school. The books purchased were met with absolute delight as the kids saw them displayed for the first time. Our district budget is small and so seeing this many new books at once was a real treat. My display of new books was picked clean in the first few days!\r\n\r\nThe books also included wonderfully diverse characters, which our students will relate to and be inspired by. One of my favorite moments was reading the kids the book about Patricia Bath, an African American woman who overcame racism and sexism to change the world for those with blindness. Even though I read it to over 60 kids, I hope it inspires young girls of color the very most. This story alone made our school a better place and it was just one of the many you funded. \r\n\r\nThank you for thinking of our students! Books make such a difference, especially when they are new and relevant and diverse.","fullyFundedDate":1738820979210,"projectUrl":"project/relevant-and-exciting-books-with-diverse/8962746/","projectTitle":"Relevant and Exciting Books With Diverse Characters","teacherDisplayName":"Mrs. McCombs","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7740198_orig.jpg?crop=1961,1961,x202,y112&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1618938949927","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/7740198"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_83094","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":319,"numTeachers":22,"percentFrplEligible":95,"percentAsian":0,"percentBlack":2,"percentWhite":64,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":21,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"14.5:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"URBAN","ncesMetroType":"CITY_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":66.2,"schoolId":83094,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Hunter Lake Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Hunter Lake Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/nevada/washoe-county-school-district/hunter-lake-elementary-school/83094"}
