Who wouldn't like reading about a size tht is literally the size of the sun, a backwards poem and a poem that never ends?\r\n\r\nStudents are reading the poems and really enjoying this new-to them-genre of books. How many other teachers can say that ALL of their students love reading? I can say that. I have students at many different reading levels, and now I have graphic novels for each level. I had to institute a sign up system for the books, the students can't wait to get a chance to read the new books. \r\n\r\nResearch overwhelmingly supports the benefits of reading graphic novels, finding they enhance comprehension, improve vocabulary, and serve as a crucial tool for engaging reluctant readers. These toys have become the favorite thing at play time. It is so wonderful to see them using their imaginations and creating stories together.\r\n\r\nReiche School in Portland, Maine has about 430 students and about 87% of our students qualify for free or reduced lunch. Many of these children do not have many toys at home, and no one in our group has toys like these at home. These students work very hard learning. English is a new language for some of our students and these toys help them build language and relationships.
