Most of my students speak Portuguese, Spanish or French (some speak all three languages!). In order to foster their literacy in both English and their native language, my students need engaging, high-quality, multilingual books that they can read in class or take home to read with their parents. This project will help multicultural students develop their reading skills in English and in their native language. As a former English learner and a bilingual ESL teacher, I will also design exciting lessons using the books you donate. I want all my students to experience the joy of reading and expand their biliteracy skills.

About my class
