Students have finger cots and spatulas to press and shape hot glue materials without any direct contact with heat. This has significantly reduced safety anxieties for sure. The band is also wonderful since students can kick or bounce their feet on it, but it is so quiet that other students don't notice or get distracted. \r\n\r\nThe Amulet books were a great addition to our book collection. The group that was reading the series could not wait to read the last book. Their enthusiasm for reading was apparent in their faces and how they immediately sat down to start the book as soon as I handed it to them. They also requested more books by the same author. It is so great to have a complete set of the series, and I hope to get more by Kazu Kibuishi. It brings me so much joy to witness students cutting the thick cardboard with ease, and it has made a huge difference in their independence.
