Because of your kindness, our students now have access to engaging learning materials like puppet friends, sorting manipulatives, and dramatic play tools such as our veterinary center.\r\nThese materials have made a meaningful difference in our classroom. The puppets have become an important part of our daily routines, helping students practice conversation skills, take turns speaking, and explore different emotions in a safe and playful way. Many of our students are working on speech and language goals, and using puppets encourages them to communicate, model new vocabulary, and participate in social interactions with their peers.\r\nOur sorting and fine-motor centers are also being used throughout the day. Students practice following directions, identifying colors and categories, and strengthening their fine motor skills while placing objects into bowls or using tools to pick them up. These activities support language development as students describe what they are doing, answer questions, and practice requesting and commenting.\r\nThe dramatic play veterinary center has been especially powerful for supporting social-emotional learning. Students love caring for the animals, taking on roles such as veterinarian or helper, and talking through different scenarios. These moments help students build empathy, practice problem solving, and develop important social skills like cooperation and turn taking.\r\nAlong with our other classroom centers, these new materials are helping us create a learning environment where students feel comfortable communicating, exploring emotions, and interacting with others. Your generosity is helping our students grow not only academically, but also socially and emotionally.\r\nThank you for believing in our students and for helping make our classroom a place where every child can learn, communicate, and thrive.","fullyFundedDate":1767098763947,"projectUrl":"project/play-to-learn/9631902/","projectTitle":"Play To Learn","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Gomez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp6869922_orig.jpg?crop=1500,1500,x0,y75&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1697717842935","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/6869922"},{"teacherId":2476840,"projectId":9663501,"letterContent":"The students have found the materials both engaging and helpful to their learning.
