As a speech language pathologist in an impoverished urban school district, I'm on a constant search for engaging and age appropriate materials which will help my students to better understand and talk about their world, and to build lasting relationships.
By donating to this project, you will help my students to increase comprehension of reading and classroom materials, to solve problems with peers through practice, to learn new vocabulary, and to be able to express their needs and their wants to adults and friends. Please help me give them a voice!
My wonderful group of special needs students thrive when lesson plans are based on books with characters which they can relate to and activities which require communication and teamwork! For my students with autism, educational games and picture cards for vocabulary skills keep them interested and involved while they learn. Thanks for your consideration!
