The first few weeks came with many adjustments, and I understand that my students have been experiencing similar challenges as they settle into new routines and expectations. Your support has helped make this transition a little easier. The moment I received the package, I was absolutely ecstatic and excited to put these resources to use with my students!\r\n\r\nThe speaker has been especially helpful during our small-group reading sessions. We have been reading *Paper Towns* by John Green, and listening to the audiobook has made a meaningful difference in how my students engage with the text. We pause the audio from time to time to give students opportunities to annotate, reflect on what they have heard, and deepen their understanding of the story. Having the speaker has made these reading sessions more engaging and accessible for my students.\r\n\r\nThe laptop and iPad have also been valuable additions to our classroom. We use them as additional devices for students who forget to bring their Chromebooks, ensuring they can still participate in class activities and complete their assignments. These devices have also been useful for preparing slide presentations and accessing online reading materials that help strengthen students' reading fluency and comprehension. Beyond their practical uses, having these additional resources has given many of my students peace of mind, knowing they have the tools they need to learn and participate.\r\n\r\nAs a teacher, it means so much to have people who believe in the work we do and are willing to invest in our students' learning. Your generosity has helped me create a more supportive, engaging, and accessible learning environment, especially during a time of transition. My new classroom this year was too small for two chairs, so I shared one with our middle school self-contained classroom, and students in both rooms are being able to regulate themselves much more regularly, which has decreased behaviors!\r\n\r\nI love a hammock myself, and I thought that having one in the classroom readily available for kids might be something that my students would gravitate towards, and I was correct. Several of my students with autism have really enjoyed the addition of these musical toys to our classroom. Many of my students struggle with overstimulation from traditional screens, but the Tonies Box provides technology in a calm, sensory-friendly format that encourages listening, communication, and independent exploration. Students practice important skills such as following directions, improving attention span, building vocabulary, and strengthening comprehension while enjoying stories and songs they genuinely love. The predictable routines and auditory learning opportunities help create a classroom environment where students feel successful and confident.\r\n\r\nWhat excites my students most about the Tonies Box is the independence it gives them. They can choose a character, place it on the box themselves, and immediately access stories or music without needing complicated buttons or reading skills. This sense of control is incredibly meaningful for many of our learners. The character figures are also highly motivating and comforting, especially for students who connect deeply with favorite movies, songs, or routines. Because the Tonies Box is interactive and tactile, it keeps students engaged far longer than many traditional learning activities. The dry erase markers and dry erase pocket sleeves have been invaluable for student group work. Our new-to-the-country students use 5×7 index cards to keep track of math vocabulary in English, Thai, and Lao, which has been especially helpful for their learning.\r\nI especially appreciate the magnetic unit circle whiteboard. It has made it easier for students to present their thinking more often and more clearly. Our communication around the topic became more consistent and repeatable. While we can't attribute our success entirely to the magnetic whiteboard, many students developed a strong understanding of the unit circle and special angles.\r\nI'm also looking forward to using the button maker to create prizes for our New Year math contest. We'll be using the roll of paper when we begin periodic functions, giving students a hands-on introduction to the topic.\r\nI've shared news of the donations with our students, and they are amazed by your generosity.
