Help my classroom get a document camera! The document camera is a teaching tool that I'll use in my classroom to help my students get better visual and accessibility to all subjects. In our upcoming reading unit, we are going to read Hugo Cabret. This book has a lot of pictures that the document camera can project on the wall during the reading session so all my students can engaged in the whole story since our schools cannot provide enough books for every student. I will also use the document camera during math when solving a problem and using math manipulative. By having a visual tool, all the students are engaged in the learning by seeing each step as the solution presents itself. The document camera is a vital learning tool I can use to demonstrate how to dive deeper in their reading by doing stop-and-jots, having students being able to display their work and explain, and help students make connection to their learning. This small technical tool can make a big impact on learning.
