Students look forward to transforming our classroom into a kitchen when they arrive for X-block! They immediately begin wiping down tables, washing their hands, and organizing materials. One of the main highlights has been pickling!\r\n\r\nStudents are highly motivated to stay in the class, help each other with recipes, and try new foods. The day the refrigerator arrived in the classroom was a big one! You can see the ownership and independence students feel when they are able to access their cooking supplies, gather ingredients from the fridge, and serve their dishes. We are still working on perfecting the clean-up piece... but we will get there!\r\n\r\nSome other highlights of foods we have made include gnocchi, smoothies, latkes, and our own dried mangoes. Your contribution has opened up new creative and technical opportunities for our students to explore immersive storytelling and advanced digital media production. They are already brainstorming ways to use the camera in projects that go beyond traditional video — from capturing dynamic footage with drones to creating interactive, first-person experiences.\r\n\r\nOur first major project will be producing a 360° virtual tour of our school, which will be featured on our website. This hands-on project allows students to apply their skills in videography, editing, and design while contributing something meaningful to our entire school community. Beyond that, the 360 camera will be used for student-made advertisements and multimedia projects, helping them learn professional-level tools and techniques that align with real-world media and communication careers.\r\n\r\nYour support has truly made a lasting impact on our students' learning experiences.
