In our classroom, technology is most powerful when students move from passive viewers to active creators. Having a steady supply of filament allowed my students to take abstract concepts and turn them into physical objects. They learned critical thinking, geometry, and problem-solving as they tested their designs, troubleshooted mistakes, and saw their ideas come to life layer by layer.\r\n\r\nThe most exciting part for the students was being able to pick out whatever colors they wanted for their project, and seeing their designs come to life. This was all made possible because of you! This project has truly resonated with many of my students. One student specifically is an English language learner who has a hard time communicating in class. However, he spent days on this project and was more than just proud of what he created because for the first time he did not have any barrier to his creativity.\r\n\r\nYour gift didn't just provide raw materials—it unlocked my students' creativity and inspired them to see themselves as real-world inventors and engineers and will for semesters to come! The copies of \"There's a hair in my dirt!\" have been enjoyed by my students for years - but now, they will all have a copy of their own to look at so that they can see the cartoon pictures. I appreciate the funding that allows students to have a fun opportunity to learn in a non-traditional way.\r\n\r\nI also appreciate the opportunity to do a spectroscopic lab with several different element samples of gasses. With the new spectroscopy glasses, each student had access to a clean pair of glasses that they could take home at the end of the lab.\r\n\r\nThe frog life cycle has been a fun display to have on my counter in the classroom. I watched several students come and observe it in curiosity. Biology can be tons of fun, and your contributions allow me to teach in ways that I couldn't without your funding.
