In my classes I allow students to combine skills from different disciplines to create solutions to real life problems. In order to further this effort, we have acquired Mibrobit devices that allow students to code a small computer that can control lights and motors and collect data from sensors. These materials will allow computer science, coding, and engineering students to combine their skills to create amazing machines. It will allow them to use what they have learned in class to create cars that sense obstacles, alarms that sense movement, and anything else they can imagine.
