The chair pockets and turn-in bins have truly transformed how our desk areas function. Students now use the chair pockets to store reading notebooks, independent books, and frequently used supplies, which keeps desktops clear and reduces transitions between activities. The turn-in bins have streamlined how students submit work, especially during reading rotation blocks, allowing them to stay focused on learning instead of worrying about where papers belong. \r\n\r\nWhen students first saw the materials, they were genuinely excited. Many immediately commented on how \"organized\" their space felt and took pride in setting up their chair pockets. It was encouraging to see students treat the new resources with care and enthusiasm, recognizing that these tools were meant to help them succeed.\r\n\r\nThanks to these organizational supports, our class is now able to move more efficiently. As we continue our year, with clear systems in place, they are becoming more independent, confident learners who can focus on content rather than clutter. Your support has made a lasting impact, and we are so grateful for the role you've played in creating a calmer, more productive classroom environment.","fullyFundedDate":1756560426408,"projectUrl":"project/chair-pocket-upgrade/9641666/","projectTitle":"Chair Pocket Upgrade","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Kafer","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp7731721_orig.jpg?crop=2316,2316,x0,y69&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1611950807051","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/mrsstrout"},{"teacherId":7731721,"projectId":9546004,"letterContent":"Thanks to your support, our classroom has become a more inviting and comfortable space for learning. They were so excited and engaged, which is not something we see every day with 5th graders. Each project seemed to spark the interest and creativity of those around them, and students were exploring and creating some intricate code beyond what I had taught. \r\nIt's very rewarding as a teacher to see students find joy in STEM. Even the students who don't always excel in coding were trying very hard to figure out how to get their coding to blink \"6/7\" on the LED screens. Lol. \r\nThe opportunity to use the micro:bits is something the students look forward to and it is integrated into our curriculum daily. This has not only helped with student engagement, but has also helped with behaviors and distractions. They want to get right to work so they can spend more time with them.\r\nThank you so much for helping make our classroom a place students want to be! My students were absolutely thrilled to be a part of this artistic experience. From the first moment that they realized they were going to be using real artist canvas all the way through seeing their painted projects \"light up\" they were enthusiastic and engaged in \"being\" an artist. \r\nThe students were invited into the art room just like any other art day. They had no idea what they were about to experience. Excitement started building when they saw the art canvas, artist aprons, a variety of paint brushes in all shapes and sizes, and art palettes filled with brightly colored paints. As the students brainstormed their ideas and began painting on their canvas, the added surprise was revealed...room lights went off and black light filled the room. The students were in awe. What they thought was just bright neon paint was actually black light paint that took on a whole new form of amazement. As the students continued painting under the black lighting, the enthusiasm continued to build. The only bad thing about this experience is that it had to come to an end. \r\nThank you so much for believing in kids and for fostering their growth through creative opportunities like this.
