As technology usage continues to increase in the world around us, my students are often in need of headphones to use their devices in the classroom. Whether it be listening to an audiobook, or a test that requires read instructions to them, we are in dire need of headphones! It is both difficult and distracting for them to try to complete certain auditory tasks if everyone has a device reading out loud to them at the same time. The pandemic has caused many learning gaps for students and this project would help them improve in comprehension skills, diversify their vocabulary, and help support their love of reading! In order to meet state standards, my students are also in need of keyboards to connect to their iPads, so that they can learn how to properly type. This, too, would help prepare them for future opportunities.
