The students enjoy using the sit and spins to decompress and have fun. In a special education classroom any additional strategies to help students be successful is very much appreciated and these spinners have really helped students regulate themselves to have a better day. Often times children, especially young children, don't recognize their stress and or know how to ask for a moment to relieve their stress. This causes them to act out, often in negative ways. By providing them with the vocabulary and tools to take a few minutes to relax students are empowered to recognize the need for self care. This gives them the feeling of control when they may feel out of control and the dignity to do so in a positive manner. Again, thank you all so very much for supporting our students.
