The paper cutter and hole puncher have helped me quickly prepare organized student packets, which means more time for learning and less time waiting. Students are using the pencils for daily independent practice and written reflections, while the dry erase markers are a favorite during math and problem-solving lessons. One standout moment was during a math workshop when students worked at the board to model their thinking—being able to erase and revise their work encouraged them to take risks and explain their reasoning with confidence.\r\n\r\nThe students were genuinely excited when the materials arrived. They immediately noticed how sharp the pencils were and how smoothly the dry erase markers wrote. Several students commented on how \"official\" our classroom felt with neatly cut papers and organized notebooks. The excitement showed in how carefully they treated the supplies and how eager they were to start using them.\r\n\r\nNext, students will continue building their math and writing skills through collaborative lessons and independent practice. The dry erase markers will be used for small-group problem solving and quick checks for understanding, while the pencils support longer writing assignments and assessments. With the paper cutter and hole puncher, I'll be creating interactive notebooks and learning tools that help students stay organized and engaged. These resources will continue to support hands-on learning as students deepen their understanding and grow more confident in their skills.","fullyFundedDate":1759265416938,"projectUrl":"project/we-need-more-organization-cowbell/9704002/","projectTitle":"We Need More Organization (*cowbell*)","teacherDisplayName":"Mr. Cusic","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp9240615_orig.jpg?crop=1:1,smart&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1723500922768","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/9240615"},{"teacherId":1016751,"projectId":9662918,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your generous donation to my classroom. Although the majority of the items I had requested were unavailable, I was still able to purchase several items that my students and I needed. I purchased pre-sharpened pencils, glue sticks, storage containers, a large bulletin board, a book case, and covers for my fluorescent lights. My students go through pencils and glue sticks like nobody's business so those items are especially appreciated. Buying them 2-3 times a year really adds up! \r\n\r\nMy students are enjoying the fluorescent light covers. Some of them used to complain about how the harsh lighting made it hard for them to focus when reading on their computers and that it gave them headaches. Now the lighting is much softer. Additionally, the pattern on the covers is of a forest and night, which some students have said makes them feel more calm and like the classroom is more welcoming. \r\n\r\nLastly, in the coming weeks I will be sharing my classroom with another teacher. While many of us use technology every day, it can look very different in a school setting. For our students, this technology isn't just a tool—it's a bridge to stronger learning. Having these tools available ensures that every student can participate meaningfully, no matter their learning style.\r\n\r\nWhat has been most exciting for our students is the chance to use the microphones to fully immerse themselves in their work.
