As an educator, I am deeply committed to my students' success, drawing from my own journey as a returning high school dropout now finalizing my doctoral dissertation. I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment where academic growth, cultural identity, and respect are valued. I am passionate about dual-language learning and high-ability programs, ensuring my students have access to innovative resources through initiatives like DonorsChoose. In my Spanish for Heritage Speakers class, I encourage bilingualism and parental involvement. Through Project Lead the Way and study hall sessions, I motivate students to manage their time wisely and take ownership of their learning. Advocating for all students and fostering community collaboration, I see myself as more than just a teacher—I am a mentor, leader, and advocate for equity in education.
