My students are 7th grade students at a science, technology, engineering and mathematics magnet middle school. Our school serves students who live in high poverty households. Ninety percent of our students receive free or reduced lunch. Through innovative programs, we are showing some of the most rapid growth in the state as measured by standardized test scores. My class is designed to prepare students for their futures in high school and college.
