These items may seem small, but they have opened up big opportunities for my students to grow their independence and fine motor skills. One of our first projects with the new materials was a pumpkin activity where students used the three-hole punch to prepare cups, then cut yarn and threaded it through the holes. This engaging task gave them the chance to practice hand strength, coordination, and problem-solving in a fun and meaningful way.\r\n\r\nThe excitement on their faces when they realized these materials were for them was priceless. Many of my students benefit from hands-on practice with fine motor skills, and having tools that are the right size and quality makes such a difference. They felt proud and capable as they worked through each step of the project, celebrating their successes along the way.\r\n\r\nMoving forward, we will continue using these supplies to strengthen fine motor development, which supports better handwriting, classroom participation, and overall independence. Your generosity has given my students opportunities to build confidence and skills that will carry over into their daily lives. Thank you for believing in them and making such a lasting impact in our classroom.","fullyFundedDate":1751226519720,"projectUrl":"project/empowering-students-with-classroom-essen/9285176/","projectTitle":"Empowering Students with Classroom Essentials","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Jenny","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp8891055_orig.png?crop=984,983,x0,y118&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1745615490348","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/msjennysclass"},{"teacherId":8891055,"projectId":9285086,"letterContent":"Thank you so much for your support! They help create a focused environment by blocking out background noise, allowing each child to concentrate on their own tasks—whether it's listening to an audiobook, following along with a learning app, or participating in language lessons. Teachers often use headphones to support differentiated instruction, enabling students to work at their own pace and ability level without distracting others. This can be especially helpful for students who need extra time or more repetition to understand new material.\r\n\r\nFor first graders, receiving new headphones can be an exciting and motivating experience. At that age, students are often eager to engage with technology, and having their very own pair of headphones makes them feel like responsible learners. Brightly colored, comfortable, or even character-themed headphones add a fun, personal touch that builds enthusiasm for using educational tools. Whether it's their first time hearing a story read aloud through a device or playing a phonics game with music and sound effects, new headphones can make learning feel like an adventure.","fullyFundedDate":1754832179916,"projectUrl":"project/golden-silence/9526175/","projectTitle":"Golden Silence","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Heather","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://cdn.donorschoose.net/images/placeholder-avatars/272/teacher-placeholder-6_272.png?auto=webp","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/heather-rockwood"},{"teacherId":6024678,"projectId":7478841,"letterContent":"When this project funded I was so grateful to all of the donors. By having multiple copies of the books has given more students the opportunity to read and that is a huge help. It has gotten many students reading that normally do not. It has driven a competitiveness that has become magical thing to watch. The students have started their own mini reading competitions trying to beat each other finished with a particular book. Having multiple copies is what made that possible. Thank you so much for giving them the boost that they needed to get them reading. It changed and will forever impact the lives of my students and those that they come in contact with.
